TVR Grantura MK1 - 12KMA

International Race History

This TVR Grantura MK1, 12KMA, is a restoration project that has been slowly coming together. The chassis has been repaired, we have fabricated a new roll cage, and we are preparing to put everything back together. 12KMA was first registered on 1st March 1960. The car was raced during the 60's; first raced by KN Aitchison in early 1960 and then JMB Wadsworth from August 1960. Known race history shown below:
  • Rufforth BRSCC Event 6, 16th April 1960 - 3rd place.
  • Aintree BARC International 200 meeting GT, 30th April 1960, closed car race, event 1, 10 laps (No. 15)
  • National Open Oulton Park GT, 7th May 1960, non championship race - 10th place (No. 64)
  • Oulton Park Mid Cheshire, 28th May 1960 - 6th place (No. 2)
  • Aintree BARC 9th members meeting, 18th June 1960, closed car race, event 3, 7 lap handicap - 1st Place (No. 78)
  • Aintree BARC 10th members meeting, 9th July 1960, closed car race, event 3, 7 lap handicap, race B (No. 78)
  • Silverstone Birkett 6 hour relay race, 12th August 1961 (No. 10E)
